Agent 47

Sebastian Peill-M
9/18/15

Agent 47 is an action movie directed Aleksander Bach and stars, Rupert Friend, Zachary Quinto, and Hannah Ware. The movie was released August 21, 2015 and made $78,176,496 globally. The movie had a budget of 35 million dollars.
Agent 47 (Rupert Friend)

Agent 47 (Rupert Friend) is a genetically engineered assassin, he doesn't have emotions, has enhanced senses and bodily functions, and has extremely high pain tolerance. He also always completes his contract. When his newest contract has him track down the fully grown daughter of the scientist who created him, so he can find his creator, he goes up against a foe (Zachary Quinto) who has what seems like similar powers to him, who just happens to protecting the daughter (Hannah Ware). Eventually 47 is able to catch them unawares and shoots the foe, John Smith (I know a very original name, I wonder who came up with it?) and takes the daughter.
Katia van Dees (Hannah Ware)

When Katia comes to she is strapped in a chair in front of a jet turbine, where 47 explains to her that she was part of the same program as he was and that she is like him only better, Agent 90. After this shocking revelation, Katia and 47 must escape from the holding location, while fighting off the not so shot John Smith. After escaping the movie follows a basic action movie plot, a bunch of drama, a pivotal moment, then the climax of the movie, which involves some amazing fighting and plenty of explosions.

John Smith (Zachary Quinto)

This movie, in the eyes of a teenager, is awesome, sweet cars, gun fights, and gore. In the eyes of professional film reviewers however, Agent 47, is just another generic action film. There is a bit of consumerism, as the only car 47 will drive is an Audi. There is occasional swearing and not over the top blood but still deserves its 'R' rating.

I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes action, explosion, and is a teenager. People looking for a good movie, should probably avoid this movie.
Interesting fact: Rupert Friend accidentally hurt himself while firing a blank bullet for one scene. The hot shell bounced off the floor, and hit him in the head, burning him slightly.

The Dark Knight

The Dark Knight
9/11/15

The Dark Knight is the second Batman movie by Christopher Nolan and stars, Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, and Heath Ledger. The movie was released in 2008 and had a movie budget of 180 million and has made a gross net of 534,858,444.
Christian Bale plays billionaire Bruce Wayne, whose alter ego is Batman (shocking I know). When a
new villain appears whose ulterior motive is unknown to Batman and his allies, the Gotham City Police
Department and their Chief Gordon and Harvey Dent the district attorney. When the new villain
(Heath Ledger) who call himself the Joker, starts to cause and up rise in anarchy and crime, Batman
has to decide whether he will give into the Jokers demands or do his best to fight against him.
Eventually there is a face off between hero and villain that is memorable and a very surprising twist ending.

This movie is one of my favorites, and is a very good movie. The effects are spectacular and eye catching.
Heath Ledger (RIP) is my favorite part about this movie he portrays the Joker so perfectly and made me
consider the Joker the greatest villain of all time. The movie has many cool gadgets, that Batman has his
company head (Morgan Freeman) create for him.

Some of the negative things about this movie is that it is a very dark movie, with many scenes that are not child friendly, there is a lot vengeance in the movie which causes people to make many rash decisions. The Joker is insane which means that he says some pretty dark things which might cause you think about life in a negative way. The Joker also has a sick sense of humor which includes his famous line, "Do you want to know how I got these scars?" and "Why so serious".
If you can handle the dark humor and gritty scenes, then I highly suggest this movie.
Interesting fact about movie: Heath Ledger designed the Joker make-up himself, using white clown makeup and cosmetics from a drugstore, reasoning that since the Joker himself would design and apply it, Ledger should do so as well. Once his design was approved, the makeup team was responsible for replicating the look each day for filming.
